If your idea of paradise is a vacation in the middle of Colorado for outdoor fun and recreation, then consider the K Bar S Riverfront Cabin as your place to stay! This beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath log cabin has mountain and river views in all directions. This cabin sits on 16 acres and is perched right on the banks of the Arkansas River just above scenic Brown’s Canyon.
This charming log cabin has everything for your vacation needs plus all the conveniences of home! Your accommodations include:
- High Speed Wireless Internet Service; telephone
- Combination family room/dining room with gas fireplace and flat screen HD TV.
- Fully equipped, modern kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator.
- 3 bedrooms – two with queen beds, the third with 2 twins.
- 2 bathrooms – one with a full size washer and dryer.
- Storage garage, Weber gas grill, horseshoe pit.
- Covered front porch facing Mt. Princeton and a sun deck in back overlooking the Arkansas River.
Rates and Policies:
- Check-in time is 3:00 to 6:00 pm; Check-out time is 10:00 am; Minimum stay in summer – 3 nights.
- A deposit is requested at the time of reservation. We accept cash, check or money order. Sorry, no credit cards.
- Deposits will be refunded for cancellations made 2 weeks prior to arrival less a $25.00 handling fee. Cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to arrival are subject to loss if the cabin cannot be rescheduled.
- Rental rates are based on group size of 1 – 4 people. Maximum occupancy – 6 people.
- No smoking and no pets please.

Directions:
The K Bar S Riverfront Cabin is in Nathrop, Colorado east of Highway 285 between Buena Vista and Salida. From Hwy 285, turn east on CR 197 at the Chalk Creek Campground. Bear right behind the campground onto CR 197A. Continue on 197A as it curves and goes under a railroad bridge. Immediately after the RR bridge, turn right at the gate with the K Bar S Cabin sign. Cross the bridge over the Chalk Creek and follow signs to the Cabin – last house on the left.
